Introduction

What is IELTS?

IELTS, or International English Language Testing System, is the world’s most popular English language proficiency test. It has been designed to help you study, work or migrate to a country where English is the native language. This includes countries such as Australia, Canada, England etc.

There are two IELTS tests, depending on your needs: IELTS Academic (suitable for entry into educational institutions), and IELTS General Training (suitable for work and migration). Both tests are scaled up to 9.0, and have four parts: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

Why study English in Australia?

1. Great Quality

The Australian education system is well-known for its teaching quality, with most of the institutes recognised worldwide. Students can experience a different education system and they will learn various tips that will help enhance their English language skills. Moreover, an IELTS score can lead to becoming eligible to take college and university courses, including subjects and majors that may not be taught in their countries.

2. Improve English faster

Studying English while living among native speakers is a fast and easy way to improve your language skills. Even when you’re not in class, you’ll still need to use English every day in a variety of real-life situations.

3. Meet new people and network

Australia is one of the most successful multicultural societies in the world. This has brought many students from different nationalities to study in this country. Studying in Australia will be a great opportunity for international students to make local and international friends with whom they can practise their English.

4. Work part-time while you study

In Australia, students can legally work for 20 hours per week on a Student Visa. This will help them earn some extra money to help with living expenses, and to finance their social life. During their free time, Australia has many famous tourist attractions to visit, and lots of bars and restaurants to enjoy.

5. Flexible starting time and test modules

Students can choose when to start (new intake every Monday) and the duration of the IELTS course. They can also choose whether they want to take the paper-based IELTS test or do the test on a computer.
