Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health International Schools Scholarship

About the scholarship  

The scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for Bachelor degree programs within the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health, with the exception of the Doctor of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work and Psychology programs. It is available to Indian citizens, with two scholarships available per school. 

Eligibility  

  1. a) To be considered, students need to have achieved an 85% average mark in their final results for the Indian High School Certificate (or an equivalent qualification).
  2. b) Applicants must have completed their secondary education at one of the following schools: Maheshwari Public School, St. Edmunds Educational Society, Mayo College, or Sanskar School.
  3. c) The scholarship is open to students who are enrolling in a Bachelor degree within the Science, Medicine and Health Faculty, with the exception of the Doctor of Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, Exercise Science & Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology degrees.

University Excellence Scholarships

About the scholarship  

The scholarship offers a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the minimum duration of an eligible course for international students commencing their Bachelor degree studies at the University of Wollongong (Australian campuses only), including honours degrees commenced the year following completion.  

The scholarship excludes Doctor of Medicine, Nutrition Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology programs.  

 There is no limit on the number of scholarships available. The scholarship is applicable for the 2023 academic year. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must: 

  1. Enrol in any undergraduate course offered by UOW’s Australian campuses in 2023, except for Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Education, Social Work, and Psychology programs.
  2. Be an international student.
  3. Have outstanding academic results in one of the following categories:
    • Australian Year 12 or equivalent international secondary school qualification. 
    • Foundation Studies programs approved for direct admission to Bachelor degrees, offered by an institution recognized by UOW. 
    • Diploma or other academic pathway program approved for admission with credit exemption from an institution with which UOW has a formal agreement. 
    • Academic programs (including Bachelor degrees) approved for admission into Bachelor degrees and offered by an institution recognized by UOW. 
  4. Not receiving any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or discount.

There is no need to apply for this scholarship as students will automatically be considered for it. 

Postgraduate Academic Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship 

The scholarship offers a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the minimum duration of an eligible Masters’ (coursework) degree at UOW’s Australian campuses, except for the Master of Psychology (Clinical), Clinical Exercise Physiology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Teaching, Social Work (Qualifying), or Doctor of Medicine programs.  

The scholarship is available for international students commencing their studies in 2023. There is no limit on the number of scholarships available. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must: 

  1. a) Commence a new coursework Master’s degree at UOW’s Australian campuses in 2023, excluding Doctor of Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Exercise Physiology, Teaching, Social Work, and Psychology programs.
  2. b) Have outstanding academic results with a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75 or equivalent.
  3. c) Be an international student.
  4. d) Not receiving any other scholarship, sponsorship, bursary, or discount.

Country Specific Bursary

About the scholarship  

The scholarship provides a 20% tuition fee reduction for the minimum duration of an eligible course. It commences in 2023 and is available for any coursework degree at UOW Australian campuses, except for the programs listed below: 

  • Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics 
  • Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation 
  • Bachelor of Nutrition Science 
  • Bachelor of Exercise Science 
  • Bachelor of Education (Primary, Mathematics, Science, Health and Physical Education, Early Years) 
  • Bachelor of Social Work 
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science 
  • Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) 
  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) 
  • Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) 
  • Master of Psychology (Clinical) 
  • Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology 
  • Master of Teaching (Primary and Secondary) 
  • Master of Nutrition and Dietetics 
  • Master of Social Work (Qualifying) 
  • Doctor of Medicine 

The scholarship is available to all citizens, excluding Australian and New Zealand citizens. 

Eligibility  

The University of Wollongong offers the Country Specific Bursary to international students who commence their coursework degree in 2023 or later. The bursary is automatically applied and extends to all eligible courses. If the student has an academic package offer, the bursary will also be applied to the other eligible academic course within the package. However, a student cannot receive more than one UOW scholarship, sponsorship, or bursary for the same course. 

How to apply  

The university automatically awards the bursary to students who receive an eligible course offer. That means students do not need to submit a separate application for the bursary. 

Offshore transfer discount

About the scholarship  

The University of Wollongong offers an automatic 25% tuition fee reduction for the minimum duration of degree to any student, regardless of citizenship. There is no need for students to apply for this discount; they will receive it automatically when they receive an eligible course offer. There is no limit to the number of bursaries available, so all eligible students can benefit from this program. 

Eligibility  

This scholarship is for students who are transferring from any UOW offshore campus to an onshore UOW campus. It is important to note that students can only receive one UOW scholarship, sponsorship, or bursary for the same course.
