Monash Award

About the scholarship  

Fifty scholarships are available for international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at RMIT University and who meet the eligibility criteria. The scholarships offer a tuition fee reduction of A$10,000 per 48 credit points of study load for a maximum of three years. This amount will be paid towards tuition fees. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an international student and a current Year 12 student who intends to enroll in an undergraduate single degree at Monash University in Australia. Please note that if you are already in receipt of other scholarships or sponsorships that pay part or all of your fees, you are not eligible for this scholarship. Also, if you have already accepted a Monash study grant and decide to accept this scholarship, the study grant will no longer be valid. Please be aware that degrees in the Faculty of Engineering are excluded. 

How to apply 

There is no need for students to submit an application for this scholarship. All eligible students will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on their academic performance.  

Monash International Leadership Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

The scholarship covers 100% of the course fees until the minimum number of points required for the degree are completed. However, it does not cover overseas student health cover (OSHC), accommodation, and living expenses.  

Commencing undergraduate students who receive the scholarship may be invited to apply for Monash Minds, which is a leadership program designed for first-year students. Recipients of the scholarship may also be asked to participate or be featured in promotional materials, events, or recruitment activities conducted by Monash. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an international student intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia and have received a full Monash course offer.  

However, the scholarship is not available to students studying Australian Year 12 (who may be eligible for the Monash International Scholarship for Excellence), students enrolling in Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine or Master of Business Administration (MBA), students in Monash Pathway programs, or students transferring from another Monash campus or applying to Monash from another Australian University. 

How to apply  

  • Applicants will be evaluated based on their academic achievements. In addition, they will be assessed based on their scholarship application statement, which should not exceed 500 words, and their potential to serve as a Monash University ambassador. 
  • To be considered for this scholarship, a separate application form must be submitted by the due dates specified. It is a prerequisite that applicants have already received a full course offer from Monash University without any conditions before applying for the scholarship.

  • Round one: 15 October

Monash International Merit Scholarship

About the scholarship  

The scholarship offers $10,000 annually (equivalent to 48 credit points of study) paid each year until the minimum number of points required for your degree is completed. Additionally, commencing undergraduate students are invited to apply for a spot in Monash Minds, a leadership program designed for first-year students.  

This scholarship is offered to 31 students annually. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must intend to enroll full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia. Commencing students must have received a Monash offer, while current students must have completed a minimum of two semesters in Australia. 

 If you are a current student enrolled in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD) course, you must have completed and obtained results for at least four semesters. 

Potential to serve as an ambassador for Monash University. Preference will be given to commencing students over current students. 

Note that you are not eligible to apply if you are studying Australian Year 12 or commencing in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD); in the latter case, you will need to complete four semesters and apply as a current student.

Pharmacy International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

This scholarship provides financial assistance to high-achieving students, with two students receiving 50% of their tuition fees paid per year until they complete the minimum credit points for their degree, and the next two students receiving 25% of their tuition fees paid per year until the completion of their degree. Only four scholarships are awarded per year. 

Eligibility  

You must be an international student who is either:  

  • An overseas applicant with an Australian qualification who has not applied for a course through VTAC; or 
  • An international student with an overseas qualification at the time of application. 
  • In addition, you must be a commencing undergraduate student in either the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)/Master of Pharmacy at a Monash Campus in Australia. 

 

How to apply 

There is no need for students to submit an application for this scholarship. All eligible students will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on their academic performance. You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester to continue eligible for this scholarship.  

Sir John Monash Scholarships for Excellence

About the scholarship  

The Monash International Scholarship for Excellence is awarded to the top 10 performing international students who have completed Australian Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate program in Australia. If you have achieved an ATAR of 98.00 or above (or equivalent), you will automatically be considered for this scholarship when applying for a Monash undergraduate degree through VTAC.  

This scholarship provides $10,000 per year for up to four years of study (based on completing 48 credit points per year). Additionally, recipients will be invited to apply for Monash Minds, a leadership program designed for first-year students. Please note that scholarship recipients may be requested to participate in Monash marketing, recruitment, and promotional events. 

Eligibility   

If you are an international student who is currently in Year 12 or International Baccalaureate in Australia and intending to enroll in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia, then you are eligible to apply for this scholarship. 

How to apply  

There is no need for students to submit an application for this scholarship. All eligible students will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on their academic performance. Students must have an ATAR of 98.00+ or equivalent to be considered for this scholarship. 

Recipients must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 or above each semester and remain enrolled as international students to retain the scholarship.
