La Trobe University offers a special benefit for its alumni, allowing them to receive a 10% fee reduction when applying for full-fee postgraduate courses. Eligibility for this reduction is automatically assessed upon application for a postgraduate course, providing a great opportunity for La Trobe graduates to continue their education and advance their careers.

About the scholarship 

This scholarship offers a 5% tuition fee reduction for international students commencing their first year of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies at any of La Trobe University’s campuses, including Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City (Melbourne), Mildura, and Shepparton campuses. 

Eligibility 

The following are the eligibility requirements for this scholarship: 

  • You must be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 
  • You must be a new international student applying to study in any intake in 2023. 
  • You must be a full fee-paying student and not be sponsored. 
  • You must meet all the conditions stated in the offer, accept the offer, and pay the required deposit within the stated deadline. 
  • Your course must be included in the LTIS List of eligible courses. 

How to apply  

When applying for an approved course, students will be automatically considered for this grant. However, to receive the grant, the student must accept their offer by paying the deposit mentioned in their offer letter before the Acceptance deadline. 

La Trobe International Scholarship

About the scholarship  

International students applying for eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at any of La Trobe University’s campuses, including Sydney, Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Melbourne, Mildura, and Shepparton, may be eligible for a reduction of up to 30% in their course fees. This reduction is automatically applied to the tuition fees and does not require a separate application. 

Eligibility  

The following eligibility criteria must be met in order to apply for this scholarship: 

  • Citizenship of a country other than Australia or New Zealand 
  • Applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program 
  • A new international student applying for 2023/2024 intakes 
  • Full fee-paying student (non-sponsored) 
  • Enrolled full-time at one of the La Trobe University campuses in Australia 
  • Maintaining satisfactory academic progress during the studies. 

How to apply  

Upon submitting an application for an approved course, applicants will be considered for the scholarship automatically. The percentage of the scholarship awarded will depend on the overall eligibility of the course and the applicant’s academic achievement. If awarded, the scholarship will be included in the Letter of Offer. 

La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship

About the scholarship  

International students who are future undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students and who will be studying at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Melbourne, Mildura, or Shepparton campuses may be eligible for a 50% reduction in course fees. 

Eligibility 

In order to be eligible for the La Trobe Regional Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be both a citizen and resident of India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh, or Mauritius. 
  • Apply for one of the courses on the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) list of eligible courses. 
  • Be at least 18 years old at the start of the course, or live with a student guardian approved by the Department of Home Affairs until they reach 18 years old. 
  • Achieve an overall Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 80% or above. 
  • Begin their studies at one of the La Trobe University Victorian Campuses in 2023. 
  • Meet the University’s English language requirements and any other conditions specified in the Offer Letter. 
  • Applicants must maintain a full-time enrolment at one of the La Trobe University campuses in Australia and achieve satisfactory academic progress during their studies. 
  • Recipients of the scholarship award must also be willing to act as international student ambassadors for La Trobe International during their period of study. 

How to apply  

Interested applicants must submit a complete application for a course starting in Semester 2 (July) or Summer 1/Term 6 (November) intake of 2023 at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses. Additionally, applicants must provide a detailed resume and a personal statement of no more than 300 words or a 3-4 minute video detailing why they should be awarded the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship before the application closing date. 

La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship Vietnam

About the scholarship  

The 50% discount tuition fee scholarship is available for Vietnamese undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students. It is available at La Trobe University’s Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Melbourne, Mildura, and Shepparton campuses. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Hold citizenship and residency in Vietnam 
  • Apply for one of the eligible courses listed under the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) 
  • Be 18 years of age or older at the start of the course or have an approved student guardian until they turn 18 
  • Achieve an overall academic result of 80% or higher 
  • Commence studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses in 2023 
  • Meet the University’s English language requirements and any other conditions specified in the Offer Letter. 
  • In addition, scholarship recipients are expected to act as International student ambassadors for La Trobe University during their studies. 

How to apply 

The application process requires applicants to submit a complete application for an eligible course starting in either Semester 1 (February), Semester 2 (July), or Summer 1 / Term 6 (November) intake of 2023 at La Trobe University’s Victorian campuses. In addition to the application, applicants must also provide a detailed resume and a personal statement of no more than 300 words, or a 3-4 minute video, explaining why they should be awarded the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship. The documents must be submitted before the application closing date. 

Vice-Chancellor Excellence Scholarship – Vietnam and Sri Lanka

About the scholarship  

Future undergraduates and postgraduate coursework Vietnamese students studying at any of the following campuses: Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, City, Melbourne, Mildura, and Shepparton, will have a chance to receive a 100% reduction in their annual tuition fees. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • Hold citizenship and residency in Vietnam 
  • Apply for one of the eligible courses listed under the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) 
  • Be 18 years of age or older at the start of the course or have an approved student guardian until they turn 18 
  • Achieve an overall academic result of 80% or higher 
  • Commence studies at any of the La Trobe University Victorian campuses in 2023 
  • Scholarship recipients are expected to act as International student ambassadors for La Trobe University during their studies. 

How to apply  

A selection panel at La Trobe International will shortlist eligible candidates based on their overall Weighted Average Mark (WAM), academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, and social activities. These factors will be used to assess the candidates. 

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit a complete application for the course that starts in either Semester 1 (February) or Semester 2 (July) intake of 2023 at La Trobe University. 

In addition, applicants must provide the following documents before the application closing date: 

  • A detailed resume 
  • A 4-5 minute video recording (in English) answering the following questions: (1) Why do you believe you should be selected for this scholarship? (2) Why have you chosen La Trobe University? (3) What are your career goals? And (4) How do you plan to use your qualification to make a difference to the world/community?
