Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship

About the scholarship  

If you are a new undergraduate student who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance, you may be eligible for a tuition fee reduction of up to 30% throughout your course, depending on your GPA or its equivalent. 

Students from China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Macau, Hong Kong, Europe, USA, and Canada are eligible to receive a 10% tuition fee reduction. Furthermore, Swinburne will offer additional scholarships to students from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.  

Eligibility 

To qualify for this scholarship, you must have achieved a minimum academic result of 60% GPA, which is the Australian standard equivalent. Students who are currently enrolled in our ELICOS+ program will automatically be considered for this scholarship. 

Please note that certain courses are not eligible for this scholarship, including the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting, Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting / Bachelor of Business (double degree), and one-year honours degrees. Other criteria may also apply. 

How to apply  

If you apply for a course at Swinburne University, you will be automatically considered for an international scholarship – there is no need to submit a separate application. 

Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

About the scholarship  

If you are a new postgraduate student who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance, you may be eligible for a tuition fee reduction of up to 30% throughout your course, depending on your GPA or its equivalent. 

Students who are studying the Master of Information Technology (Professional Computing) or Master of Science (Network Systems) are eligible to receive A$2500 off their tuition. 

Students from China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Macau, Hong Kong, Europe, USA, and Canada are eligible to receive a 10% tuition fee reduction. Swinburne also offers additional scholarships to students from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. 

Eligibility

George Swinburne Postgraduate STEM Scholarship

About the scholarship 

If you are a new postgraduate student applying for specific STEM courses, you may be eligible to receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of your course. 

Eligibility 

To qualify for this scholarship, you must apply for one of the following courses: 

  • Master of Business Information Systems 
  • Master of Construction and Infrastructure Management 
  • Master of Construction Management Practice (and combined degrees) 
  • Master of Cybersecurity 
  • Master of Data Science 
  • Master of Engineering Practice (all specialisations and combined degrees) 
  • Master of Engineering Science (all specialisations) 
  • Master of Financial Technologies 
  • Master of Information Technology 
  • Master of Professional Engineering 
  • Master of Science (Biotechnology) 
  • Master of Supply Chain Innovation 

Additional criteria may apply. Please note that students from China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Macau, Hong Kong, Europe, USA, and Canada are not eligible for this scholarship. 

If you are already enrolled in our ELICOS+ program or have received the ELICOS+ scholarship, you will automatically be considered for this scholarship.

Swinburne International Excellence Pathway Scholarship

About the scholarship  

If you are planning to apply for a pathway course like Foundation Year, UniLink, or Postgraduate Qualifying Program (PQP), you may be eligible for a scholarship of A$2500 to A$4000 based on your academic excellence. 

Eligibility 

To be considered for this scholarship, you must meet any of the following criteria: 

  • Successfully completed at least three VCE subjects (Units 1 and 2) 
  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent WAM in Australian Year 11 or equivalent qualification 
  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent WAM in Australian Year 12 or equivalent qualification 
  • Achieved an academic result of at least 60 per cent GPA Australian standard equivalent 
  • Further criteria may apply, and students applying from Europe, USA, and Canada are not eligible for this scholarship. For more information about eligibility, please contact our team at Swinburne or a representative in your country. 
  • Students who are already enrolled in our ELICOS+ program will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

ELICOS scholarship

About the scholarship  

If you are applying for an English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS) in addition to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Swinburne, you may be eligible for a refund of up to 10 weeks of ELICOS tuition. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible, you must not meet the English language requirements for your main course at Swinburne. After completing your ELICOS course and beginning your main course, a refund equal to 10 weeks of ELICOS fees, up to a maximum of A$4400, will be applied to your main course tuition. 

How to apply  

If you are applying for a pathway course in addition to an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.
