What is a Partner Visa?

Partner visas are for people who are married or in a defacto relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible NZ citizen.

This leads to permanent residence, usually over a period of 2 years.

What is a Prospective Marriage visa?

The prospective marriage visa is available to people outside Australia who intend to marry their Australian sponsoring partner after they enter Australia.

After marriage, the applicant can apply for 820/801 Partner visa.

What is a Parent or Family visa?

Parents with at least half of their children being citizens of Australia or permanent residents may be eligible for a Parent or Family visa. This visa gives 2 years temporary visa followed by a permanent visa in Australia.
