Australia Institutions News Update 21 May 2025

Applications are now closed for Term 3, 2025.
Applications with no second preference will be automatically moved to Term 1, 2026.
Students can withdraw and request a refund (if eligible) by 4 PM, Tuesday, 27 May 2025 (AEST).
Refunds only apply to unassessed applications; not those on hold for missing documents.
Offshore master’s applications for T3 close 22 May 2025.
Onshore applicants can still apply.

2025 Intake:
- All foundation/pathway (FSP/DTS/DTE/DTX) programs: PTE 46
2026 Intake:
- FSP: PTE 46
- Nursing, Teaching, Physio, OT, Midwifery, Social Work: PTE 52
- DTS/DTE/DTX: PTE 50
Changes apply only to programs requiring IELTS 5.5.
PMP (Pre-Master’s) PTE remains at 50.
Students already admitted or paid with PTE 42 not affected, but deferred applications must meet new scores.

Offshore applications closed.
Onshore student deadlines:
- Final application: 18 June 2025
- Final acceptance + deposit: 22 July 2025
Check student status to ensure timely processing for Semester 2, 2025.

Tuition & service fees increased for 2026.
Homestay fee unchanged: AUD 360/week.
Offers issued before 3:59 PM (Adelaide time), 30 May 2025 will reflect 2025 fees.
- Must be accepted and paid by 6 June 2025.
From 2 June 2025, all offers will reflect 2026 fee structure.
Applications must be submitted 90 days before course start; if less, pay within 7 days.

- Vice Chancellor Scholarship
- AI Scholarship
- Analytics & Insights Scholarship
Early Bird Grant deadline: 6 June 2025.
La Trobe remains a Priority 1 (High) visa processing provider – apply at least 8 weeks early.
