Understanding the Revised SMC Pathway - PR

The Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) is New Zealand’s main skilled residence pathway. It now operates under a simplified points-based system, making the process clearer and faster for eligible graduates.

  • You need a skilled job or job offer from an accredited employer in NZ.
  • Be under 56 years old and meet English, health, and character requirements.
