RMIT Training English Bursary for Spring/Summer Semester 2023

If you’re looking to meet your English language requirements, RMIT Training offers 10 or 20-week courses that can help you achieve this goal. As a special offer, RMIT is providing a 10% bursary to students who take this English pathway to their undergraduate or postgraduate course in the Spring/Summer Semester.

Academic Merit Scholarship

About the scholarship  

Outstanding international students from Southeast Asia and Kenya are eligible for financial assistance through this scholarship, which offers a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the eligible program(s) as outlined in the offer letter. 

Eligibility  

  • To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria.  
  • Hold citizenship in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Kenya, or Vietnam 
  • Apply offshore from one of the aforementioned countries (RMIT Vietnam students who have completed cross-campus studies are not eligible) 
  • Be an international student with a valid student visa or plan to apply for one before the program commencement 
  • Achieve an Australian equivalent GPA of 2.5 or 70% average, or ATAR 75 in your most recent completed qualification 
  • Hold an existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and commence your studies in July or October (if applicable) of the 2023 intake for any Vocational Education, Associate Degree*, Bachelor’s degree*, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, or Masters by Coursework program 
  • Not be a current RMIT University student (although existing ELICOS or Foundation Studies students may be eligible)

You do not need to submit a separate scholarship application to apply for this scholarship. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be considered for the scholarship when you apply for the eligible program(s) at RMIT University. Make sure you provide all the required information and documents to support your application. If you are successful, the scholarship details will be included in your offer letter. 

COBL Academic Merit Scholarships for Vietnam

About the scholarship  

Outstanding students from Vietnam can receive financial assistance through this scholarship, which offers a 25% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the eligible program(s) as outlined in the offer letter.  

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Be a citizen of Vietnam and apply offshore from Vietnam (RMIT Vietnam students who have completed cross-campus studies are not eligible) 
  • Hold a valid student visa as an international student, or plan to apply for one before the program commencement 
  • Achieve an Australian equivalent GPA of 3.0 or 75% average in your most recent completed qualification 
  • Hold an existing offer letter (full or conditional offer) and commence your studies in July or October (if applicable) of the 2023 intake for Bachelor’s degree, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters by Coursework programs in the following areas: Accounting, Information Systems and Supply Chain; Economics, Finance and Marketing; Management; Business and Law 
  • Not be a current RMIT University student (although existing ELICOS or Foundation Studies students may be eligible)

RMIT English Language Bursary for Asia 

About the scholarship  

This bursary offers a tuition fee discount on ELICOS programs for citizens of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, or Thailand, as outlined below: 

  • For 2022 commencement: 20% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program, resulting in a cost of $392 per week after the discount 
  • For 2023 commencement: 10% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program, resulting in a cost of $441 per week after the discount 
  • For 2024 commencement: 10% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program, resulting in a cost of $488.80 per week after the discount. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must fulfill the following requirements: 

  • Hold citizenship of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, or Thailand 
  • Apply for the scholarship from either Australia or overseas 
  • Enroll in an English for Academic Purposes program at RMIT English Worldwide, starting in 2022, 2023, or 2024 
  • Not receive any other English Language scholarship, including external scholarships 
  • Be a new student at RMIT English Worldwide, including extending your program in Australia. 

RMIT Vietnam Alumni Postgraduate Scholarship 

About the scholarship  

This scholarship is available to individuals who have completed a degree program at RMIT Vietnam and are planning to enroll in a Master by Coursework program at RMIT Australia. 

Thi scholarship values at 10% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program.  

Eligibility 

  • You must have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at RMIT Vietnam, including those who have completed an exchange program of up to 1 year at RMIT Melbourne campuses. 
  • Packaged RMIT Vietnam Undergraduate and RMIT Melbourne Postgraduate offer holders are also eligible. 
  • You must have an offer letter and be enrolled in a Masters by Coursework program at RMIT Australia. 

RMIT English Language Bursary for Latin America Students

About the scholarship  

If you are a citizen of a Latin American country, this program provides a discount on tuition fees for ELICOS courses. The amount and duration of the discount are as follows: 

  • For those commencing in 2022, the discount is 25% of the total program fee, meaning you pay $367.50 per week after the discount. 
  • For those commencing in 2023 and 2024, the discount is 35% of the total program fee, meaning you pay either $318.50 per week after the discount for 2023 or $338 per week after the discount for 2024. 
  • Furthermore, eligible applicants will have their enrollment fee of $260 waived. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this bursary, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • Hold citizenship of a Latin American country 
  • Apply for an English for Academic Purposes program at RMIT English Worldwide, either from within Australia or overseas 
  • Commence your program in 2022, 2023, or 2024 
  • Not be the recipient of any other English Language scholarship (including external scholarships) 
  • Be a new student at RMIT English Worldwide, including those extending their program in Australia.  

Future Leaders Scholarship

About the scholarship  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an international student from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, or Pakistan, and have received an offer letter to commence a Bachelor or Master by Coursework program at RMIT University. If you meet these criteria, you will receive a 20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program. 

Eligibility  

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Be a citizen of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal or Pakistan 
  • Hold a valid international student visa or plan to apply for one prior to commencing the program 
  • Have received an offer letter to commence a Bachelor or Master by Coursework program at RMIT University from the 2023 intake onwards, with the exception of BP115 Bachelor of Design (Communication Design) and BP250 Bachelor of Architectural Design 
  • Not be currently enrolled in a program at the same level, excluding the aforementioned programs.
