What is the CoE?<\/h2>

CoE<\/span>, <\/span>stand<\/span>ing<\/span> for Confirmation of <\/span>Enrollment<\/span>, <\/span>is an official letter <\/span>issued by an Australian University or College<\/span>. The <\/span>CoE<\/span> is to<\/span> confirm<\/span> that <\/span>you<\/span> have <\/span>legally enrolled in a recognised course at a registered provider and have <\/span>paid<\/span> t<\/span>he <\/span>required <\/span>deposit<\/span> and<\/span> Overseas Student Health Cover<\/span> (OSHC)<\/span> to secure your place<\/span>. <\/span>CoE<\/span>, therefore,<\/span> include<\/span>s<\/span> all necessary information of<\/span> your personal<\/span>ity<\/span> and your course<\/span>\/s<\/span> (<\/span>e.g<\/span>,<\/span> your <\/span>name, date of birth, passport number, <\/span>name of <\/span>the<\/span> course<\/span>\/s<\/span>, name of the institution that you have enrolled<\/span> in<\/span>, <\/span>tuition fees, <\/span>commencement and completion dates<\/span>)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Why do international students need a CoE?<\/h2>

CoE<\/span> is crucial for international students because<\/span> it is<\/span> a compulsory<\/span> documentation<\/span> for<\/span> a <\/span>student visa application<\/span>. If you do not submit <\/span>a <\/span>CoE<\/span> to the Australian Department of Home Affair, you <\/span>will not be granted a student visa.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Why must pay a deposit?<\/h2>

It is the Australian university and college policy that you must pay the course deposit (or tuition fee for one semester) to get a CoE. The education provider wants to make sure that you are willing to take its course, and you actually do an action to secure a place in this course.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The amount of deposit that you need to pay depends on each university\/college, but for higher education courses, the deposit is normally equivalent to the tuition fee of one semester. <\/span>For English (ELICOS) and Vocational training\u00a0(VET) cou<\/span>rses, the deposit can be less than one semester\u2019s tuition fee but varies as each college issues a different deposit policy. You will receive an email from the university\/college, informing you exactly how much you will need to pay to secure your study place.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
